PageSpeed Insights
PageSpeed Insights
Koala can run Google PageSpeed Insights for your top traffic pages directly from a site dashboard.
Where to Find It
Open any connected site from /app, then look for Top Pages - by clicks between CTR Opportunities and Property Overview.
The table lists the pages that drive the most Google Search clicks for the selected period.
Running a Speed Check
Use the Speed column and click Check on any page row. Koala runs PageSpeed Insights only for that page when you ask for it.
Koala does not automatically check every page, because PageSpeed Insights has request quotas and each check can take a few seconds.
Mobile Results
The dashboard speed check uses the mobile PageSpeed strategy. Mobile is the default because it is usually the more useful signal for SEO and Core Web Vitals review.
Desktop checks are not shown in this dashboard section.
Understanding the Badge
After a check completes, the Speed column shows the PageSpeed performance score:
| Score | Label | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 90-100 | Fast | Strong performance |
| 50-89 | OK | Needs review |
| 0-49 | Slow | Likely needs work |
Hover the score badge to see the key metrics and data source:
- Real users means Google had field data for that URL.
- Lab data means field data was unavailable, so Koala shows Lighthouse lab metrics instead.
Field data can be missing for low-traffic pages. That is normal.
